Our Program:

This program is a partnership effort between the NWI SHRM chapter and the Valparaiso Economic Development Corporation and will be in the format of a panel discussion.  Mr. Galbiati will be discussing the Senate Bill 448 that was passed and which provides incentives to employers for technology based initiatives.  Mr. Blumenthal will discuss technology jobs as a business cluster and Mr. Moen will discuss the role of HR as it relates to the above.  This session will add to the HR professionals knowledge base as it will allow HR professionals to become more aware of the business development efforts and available incentives within this geographic area, how these incentives may benefit the organization from a strategic standpoint, what specific types of job/positions may need to be developed within an organization to be able to benefit from this economic development and help identify a viable role for the HR professional to lead/support their organization to take advantage of these economic development opportunities.  This program has been pre-approved for one Strategic HRCI Recertification Credit
