HR Business Partner

Geminus Corporation is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR Team. Geminus was established in 1992 and offers innovative concepts, providing comprehensive support services, human resources, communications, purchasing, accounting, finance, client billing, and management information systems, for affiliated organizations that provides behavioral healthcare and human services. Geminus is located in Merrillville, Indiana and is affiliated with Regional Mental Health Center, Geminus Head Start, and the Lake Park Residential Care, together these organizations employ approximately 750 employees throughout the Porter and Lake County area of Indiana.

The Position:

The Human Resources Business Partner ensures that the practices of the business unit are aligned with the strategic focus of the unit as it relates to Human Resources. The HR Business Partner is responsible for the day-to-day operations within a business unit of human resource functions, such as those pertaining to compensation administration, labor relations, recruitment and retention, credentialing, employee relations, on-boarding, training and development, and benefits. This position requires the ability to interact with all levels of staff, providing policy guidance to employees and management.

Core Competencies:

Knowledge of best practices, labor laws, and collective bargaining process.

Ability to consistently provide sound counsel to managers in issues related to employee relations.

Ability to coordinate the recruitment process within a business unit, while interacting and collaborating with business unit managers.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Possess thorough knowledge of HR related federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Demonstrated ability to meet established productivity expectations.


Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.

 A minimum of two years related professional experience, in Human Resources.
