Barbara is an industry expert with over 25 years of experience as HR Executive in variety of industries in NW Indiana and Chicago, Barbara gained extensive experience in providing strategic human resources leadership to drive attainment of business goals. She has proven to be highly effective in building and leading customer-focused HR organizations in aligning recruiting, employee relations, health and welfare, compensation, employee engagement, and change management initiatives with overall corporate performance objectives. Her vast experience and passion for people and HR led to her decision to become a direct resource and consultative leader to business owners and executives, providing hands-on support and best practice solutions to a wide array of workplace challenges.
Barbara has been a guest speaker for several human resources classes in a university environment and has spoken at state and national Health Information Management (HIM) association meetings and job fairs. She presented at the Student Academy at the national AHIMA convention for seven years. She also participated in several Chicago's 101 Best and Brightest Symposiums. At the AHIMA national convention she presented “The Virtual 21st Century Workplace – Best Human Resources Practices” and “Understanding & Leading a Multi-Generational Workforce”. She presented at Chicago’s Best & Brightest Symposium “Leveraging the Digital World with Innovative Strategies” and “The Virtual Office: Achieving Productivity and a Work Life Balance”.
Barbara successfully led her previous company in its efforts to be selected as an Elite award winner of the “101 Best and Brightest Companies to work for in Chicago” for the eight consecutive years. She serves on several boards and is deeply involved in a variety of professional and community initiatives and endeavors.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University.
