Human Resources Specialist Responsibilities: The HR Specialist has the ultimate responsibility for leading all aspects of the hiring process. The HR Specialist follows the Mission and Vision Statements and educates all associates on it. Through executing Positive Attitude and Great Work Habits, the HR Specialist sets the example for the Company. The HR Specialist works closely with various levels of management. In addition, the HR Specialist reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Human Resources Specialist duties will include, but are not limited ‚Äčto:

  • Screen candidate resumes and applications
  • Conduct pattern interviews, including phone interviews, in-person interviews, and reference checks by assessing interviewees’ relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities
  • Communicate the results of the interview process to the relating department’s representative
  • Extend employment offer to qualifying candidates based on business needs
  • Assist in facilitating the onboarding process, including orientation
  • Conduct exit interviews with associates who have terminated their employment
  • Support all levels of management with documentation and performance management of associates
  • Maintain personnel files
  • Ensure that all associates and customers are treated fairly and with respect, adhering to Company policies and standards
  • Attend meetings, including weekly HR meetings and meetings with department managers
  • Assist in Unemployment Insurance Claims, participating in hearings when necessary
  • Maintain communication by responding in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Handle all other tasks as requested by the Human Resources Recruiting Manager

  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Management experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Retail background

Hours: The HR Specialist works a minimum of 40 hours per week. Open availability is required.

Salary/Income: The HR Specialist is a salaried position.
